First Aid & CPR Training Courses

Standard First Aid & CPR/AED

Two Day in Person Course
Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Haileybury

Our two day in-class course for Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Adult, Child, Infant (Formerly Level C) with optional BLS (Basic Life Support) component for Health Care Providers (formerly HCP) provides participants with the knowledge needed to manage choking, breathing and heart-related emergencies such as heart attack, stroke and cardiac arrest.

We also offer recertification courses.

Mental Health First Aid

1-Day in Person Course
Haileybury, Kirkland Lake, Timmins

Mental Health First Aid is intended for adults interacting with adults (18 years and older). This courses focuses on the four most common mental health disorders. Participants who take this course are well prepared to interact with confidence and competence about mental health with loved ones, friends, general public, and workplaces.

Babysitter Training

6-Hour in Person Course
Haileybury, Kirkland Lake, Timmins

This course enables participants ages 12 and up to demonstrate their capabilities and maturity under the responsible direction of the instructor. They will be taught how to prevent injuries and how to manage of common situations that may arise while children are under their care, including handling emergencies and basic first aid.

Home Alone Course

3-Hour in Person Course

This course is designed to provide children with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. Participants must be a minimum of 10 years of age (or turning 10 within the current calendar year).

Joint Health & Safety Certification & Refresher

2-Day / 3-Day In-Person
Timmins

Part 1 is a 3-day workshop for Basic Cerfitication.  Training is generic to all workplaces that require both employer and worker certified members, regardless of workplace sector.

Part 2 is a 2-day workshop for Workplace Specific Hazards Certification.

We also offer a Refresher Certification, which is required to be completed prior to the expiration of your 3-year Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification.

The Phlebotomy course teach participants how to draw blood and obtain specimens promptly, efficiently, and safely from patients. Participants will learn how to use the vacutainer system, prepare the patient, dispose of contaminated supplies and much more. Certificates will be issued to participants who attend all instructional hours and successfully complete two venipuncture’s and one capillary draw.
