Information for Graduates

Registration

All graduates must register to attend the ceremony to confirm attendance, receive your 4 complimentary guest tickets, and book your gown.

Please go to your Student Portal account and Blackboard to register. The registration will be open until March 24th.

Before the Ceremony

You will need to pick up your gown before the ceremony begins as the gown room will be closed during the time of the ceremonies. Late arrivals cannot be received as it is disruptive to the ceremony.

Pick up your gown, cap and stole in R105 (there will be signs to direct you) between 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Once you receive your gown, cap and stole, all graduates will wait for the ceremony to begin in R105.

You must arrive at R105, ready for the procession, by 12:30 p.m.

If you aren’t there on time, you will miss your chance to participate, as organizing everyone requires a lot of planning.

Direct signs will show you where the R105 is located, where to get your gown, and where your program will line up. We will also have some staff to guide you and help make sure you are in the right order to have your name called before going up on stage.

The Procession

You will be lined up alphabetically based on your program to prepare to walk into the gym for the graduation processional.

There will be a lot of standing and walking – you may want to wear comfortable walking shoes and ensure you have had something to eat and drink before you arrive to have enough strength to get through the ceremony.

After the Ceremony

A complimentary reception will be held after the ceremony in the campus gym. You and your guests are invited to join us for the post-graduation ceremony! Please watch your email for more information on this.
