First Aid & CPR/AED Recertification

Northern Training Division
Credential Earned: Training Certificate
Campus: Haileybury, Kirkland Lake, Timmins
Program Length: 2 Day

To qualify for recertification, you must make sure you are using the same provider who issued your current certification. Currently we are using Heartzap. You must also bring your current unexpired certification with you to class.

Our comprehensive courses are designed for those who need training due to work requirements or those who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. The training includes First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and also includes an orientation on automated external defibrillators (AED’s).

Participants will be challenged with theory and practical skills as well as scenarios. Training meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR and is recognized by WSIB and HRSD.

Candidates can take a 2 day re-certification course on the third year of original certification prior to certification expiry. Participants receive 3 year certification upon successful completion.

This session re-teaches first aid and CPR and introduces any new techniques that have changed over the past three years in CPR or first aid.

Please contact training@northern.on.ca or call 705-235-3211 ext. 2184 if you have any questions about the training being offered in Timmins, Kirkland Lake or Haileybury.

If you are seeking First Aid and CPR training in Moosonee, please contact Diane Ryder at ryderd@northern.on.ca or 705-336-2913 ext. 5601.
