In this session, Blackboard Course Structure and Student Navigation will be discussed. Student navigation supports will include Getting Started with your Blackboard Course and standardizing Course Structure. A 2-tiered approach will include a standardized Getting Started Content Area emphasizing general college supports and a Course Overview Content Area outlining Learning Objectives, Course Resources, Timetable, Technical Requirements, and Grade Weighting, etc. Faculty will be put in the “Student driver’s seat” of a poorly designed Blackboard Course as a means of creating a baseline rationale. This session will encourage Faculty to build navigation supports into Blackboard Courses.
