Timmins Campus Facility Rentals

Our Timmins Campus can provide an affordable venue for all special occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, family reunions, holiday parties, showers, sports events, concerts, business conferences, conventions, trade shows and fundraisers.

Our facility rentals and services offer full bar services, catering, Quill Lounge (licensed), cafeteria (main venue) with an elevated stage area and licensed patio overlooking Porcupine Lake, and gymnasium (main venue).

Additional Services Details Pricing
Booth/Table Setup for Vendors 8-foot table / (2) chairs provided if electrical is required, there will be an additional cost of $50. $100/day
Cleaning, Setup and Tear Down Costs (Minimum of 4 hours x 1 staff for special events). Costs will be estimated and provided to the applicant prior to confirmation of the booking.
Northern College reserves the right to contract additional cleaning if deemed necessary for special events. Northern College’s contract with Reliable Cleaning restricts other cleaning service providers’ access to our facilities. Therefore, all cleaning must be covered by Reliable Cleaning Services.
Cleaning charges incurred after special events will be included on the final invoice.
$25.00 per hour
A/V Equipment and Services PA sound system, microphone(s), microphone stand, etc., are available upon request for room rentals.

Any software that is to be installed must be brought to our IT department for testing and/or installation 2 (two) weeks before the date of room booking. If not, an overtime fee will apply. Software must include all licenses or authorization from the software vendor. Please indicate if the software is a demo. All installations will be installed by Northern College IT only. IT also requires your technical support contact information.”

An A/V Technician is available to train on our equipment at no charge during regular business hours. If additional IT support is requested to be available during the event, the cost is $35.00 per hour during regular business hours, and on weekends or events, the cost is $50 per hour.

Bar Services Quill Lounge (Pub), gymnasium, mezzanine and cafeteria are all licensed facilities.

Northern College provides full bar services, including liquor licenses and smart serve trained bartenders. Northern College reserves the right to have no other liquor licenses on our premises for all special events.

Weddings may provide their own wine accompanied by a special occasion permit, which can be purchased at the LCBO. Bar services will temporarily be closed until all wine has been consumed and removed from tables (cannot have 2 liquor licenses operating at the same time).

The bar closes at 1:00 am. Service stops at 12:30 pm.

Full bar service includes a liquor license and one (1) smart-serve trained bartender. If more bartenders are needed, there is an additional charge of $22.00/hour for each bartender.
Food/Beverage Catering Catering is provided on campus by Chartwell’s “Impressions Catering” only. The special events menu is available upon request. Linens are also available through Chartwell’s Impressions Catering at an additional cost. Guaranteed guest count from the client (10) business days prior to the event. Food services ordered by the client will be included on the final invoice.

Important: Northern College’s contract with Chartwell restricts other food service providers’ access to our facilities; therefore, all food and beverages must be ordered through Chartwell.

Residence Rooms (Hotel Service) Private washroom. Common kitchen area. Reservations should be booked directly through the Residence Office at 705-234-6800. Rooms being paid by the client will be included on the final invoice. $65.00 per night.
Security Costs Northern College reserves the right to contract additional event security if deemed necessary. (ie. Special Event with 400 people = 4 Event Security + 1 Building Security).
Costs will be estimated and provided to the applicant prior to confirmation of the booking.
Northern College’s contract with Advanced Security restricts other Security service providers’ access to our facilities. Security charges incurred after hours will be included on the final invoice.
$25.00 per hour per security guard.
