Orientation Activities with NCSA

Join us for a week of fun, engaging student activities, organized by your campus Student Association (NCSA) to help you get acquainted with life at Northern!

Be sure to show your school spirit on social media too with our ‘Find Your True North’ filters on Instagram and Facebook! And, see if our “What Program Area Am I” filter on Instagram and Facebook got yours right!

Remember: Orientation Day is Tuesday, September 3 where you will attend your Program Orientation and College-Wide Orientation presentations. See below for Frosh Week activities organized by your campus NSCA!

Frosh Week is a week-long orientation where students and faculty welcome over 1000 incoming first-year students to the Northern College campus!

This event features engaging and meaningful activities introducing you to the Northern Experience. We hope you have a blast and make the most of every moment.

Before you know it, you’ll be navigating all-nighters and tackling those upcoming assignments, so enjoy every minute of Frosh Week!

Timmins Campus NCSA Frosh Week Activities

This year “Program Power Play” captures the competitive and dynamic nature of active student participation.

This event emphasizes the commitment, strength and efforts of each program to be actively involved in student life.

Participate in as many Frosh Week events as you can to earn ballots to win a free pizza lunch for your program of study!

Tuesday, September 3

  • Free lunch from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the cafeteria
  • Free Frosh Kits available for pick up for first year students from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Pub
  • Inflatable Games from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the field

Wednesday, September 4

  • Bingo from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the cafeteria
  • Waxed Hands from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the Atrium
  • Open Gym Night from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium
  • Ping Pong & Dart Tournament with prizes to be won from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Pub

Thursday, September 5

Sports & Support Day from 10:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Located throughout the college.

A great way to get to know your community and college!

 

Friday, September 6

  • Free Breakfast from 8:30 am- 1:30 pm in the cafeteria
  • Laser Tag & Foam Cannon from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm in the field
  • Outdoor Sports from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
  • Open Mic Night from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm in the Pub

Haileybury, Kirkland Lake, and Moosonee Campuses
