Program Length: 2 Days

Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Adult, Child, Infant (Formerly Level C) with Optional BLS (Basic Life Support) Component for Health Care Providers (Formerly HCP)

Our comprehensive courses are designed for those who need training due to work requirements or those who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. The training includes First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and also includes an orientation on automated external defibrillators (AED’s).

This two day in-class course provides participants with the knowledge needed to manage choking, breathing and heart-related emergencies such as heart attack, stroke and cardiac arrest. Other first aid skills include management of severe bleeding, shock and fainting.

Healthcare Providers attending this course (First Responders, Doctors, Nurses), will also receive the Basic Life Support (BLS) component (formerly known as HCP). This course covers the recognition and treatment of airway, breathing and cardiovascular emergencies.

Participants will be challenged with theory and practical skills as well as scenarios. Training meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR and is recognized by WSIB and HRSD.

Participants receive 3 year certification upon successful completion. BLS certification needs to be renewed annually.
